What serology tests are used in diagnosing schistosomiasis?

Bottom line:  Serologic tests for antibodies are available for diagnosing schistosomiasis.  The FAST-ELISA available at the CDC is 99% specific for all species and 95% sensitive for S. haematobium (Africa, Middle East), 99% sensitive for S. mansoni (South America, Africa), but only 50% sensitive for S. japonicum (China, Philippines, Tailand).
