Summary:  The Myocarditis Treatment Trial does not show evidence for the effectiveness of steroids for immunosuppressive therapy in myocarditis. However, that some patients may possibly benefit from some form of immunosuppressive therapy cannot be rulied out. Also, that some immune responses appeared beneficial, while others did not suggests effective immunosuppressive therapy would have to be precisely timed and targeted.
